Sending an SMS using Email (open sending)

This makes it easy and convenient to send SMS messages from your desktop PC or laptop.

Once you have set up a SMS-Messaging account (click here) you can set up one or more 'from' email addresses which will allow SMS-Messaging relaying via your account.

You can then send an email to <recipient's mobile number>@x-onsms.com, for example 07987656789@x-onsms.com.

You can select an initial number of outgoing messages limit in your SMS-Messaging account, if the limit is one for example, only the first 160 characters including the subject are sent initially, with the option for the recipient to respond with 'MORE' to receive all of the message.

Your chosen 'from' email address is matched to your account and the email is sent as a SMS text message to the recipient's mobile number. Your account will then be charged 1 credit per SMS sent. The cost may vary depending on the location of the recipient's mobile phone.
