Sending an SMS to a group of recipients using Email (bulk sending)

SMS-Messaging allows you to send messages from your email application to a group of recipients' mobile numbers. This means you can quickly notify customers and staff of urgent requests or breaking news.

Once you have set up a SMS-Messaging account (click here) you can set up one or more 'from' email addresses which will allow SMS-Messaging relaying via your account.

From within your account select the 'distribution lists' option and link this with your chosen 'from' email address. Add your distribution list and our system will then produce a unique reference code to which you can send your message i.e. send your email to code@x-onsms.com, for example 100aab20c4321fgh@x-onsms.com. The code is tied to specific distribution list and consequently needs to remain private.

You can select an initial number of outgoing messages limit in your SMS-Messaging account, if the limit is one for example, only the first 160 characters including the subject are sent initially, with the option for the recipients to respond with 'MORE' to receive all of the message.

Our system will send you a confirmation that the messages have been sent out, or an error message if you do not have enough SMS credits.
